← Back to list

Covering approximately 55 hectares, Frig Vadisi is a remarkable natural park known for its historical and scenic beauty. One of the most striking features of the valley is the rock-carved houses, fortresses, and monumental structures believed to have been created by the Phrygians around 3,000 years ago. These impressive remains shed light on the region’s deep-rooted past.

In addition to rock houses, the area surrounding the valley is home to numerous rock monuments and rock settlements. Blending seamlessly with nature, these structures create the feeling of an open-air museum for visitors.

The valley also contains burial chambers and churches dating back to the Roman and Byzantine periods, highlighting its importance throughout different eras of history. It is known that the hiking trail located in the Phrygian Valley was discovered after five years of dedicated research and exploration.

Today, visitors can enjoy cultural excursions as well as nature-oriented tours, experiencing both history and the serenity of the landscape at the same time.
